Class of 2012 : Colleges will be expecting your final high school transcript shortly after graduation.  In order for your transcript to be sent to the correct school, you need to complete the Graduation Survey in your Naviance account.  Not only will your transcript be sent, but you will be helping underclass students with their post-secondary planning by providing critical information regarding admission decisions from this year.

Override Process

If you have questions regarding the level of courses for which you have been recommended, please speak with the recommending teacher.  Additionally, familiarize yourself with the expectations for the academic level you are requesting.  A description of the expectations for each academic level is available in the Program of Studies which is accessible at the high school website.

If you wish to override the recommendation after your discussion with your teacher, please contact Mrs. Culverwell in the HHS Guidance Office at 508.429.0677 x1107 to set up an override meeting with the appropriate high school department leader.  Meetings will be held on April 9th, 10th, 11th, 12th and 13th from 2:15 – 4:15 pm in the library.  These meetings are by appointment only.  No student will be placed into a core course without a teacher recommendation or completed override form on file in the Guidance Office.

Course Selection Presentations during DSB:

Grade 10 – Tuesday, March 6

Grade 11 – Wednesday, March 7

Grade 9 – Thursday, March 8

Students will be given: List of courses recommended by teachers, information on graduation requirements, copy of transcript, list of courses available for 2012-13 as well as directions for selecting courses and alternative courses for next year.  (Override information is also included.)

Completed course selection sheets should be signed by parent/guardian and returned to first block teacher on March 14th.
