Seniors: Understanding your Financial Aid Award Seminar

Hello Class of 2017!

A MEFA representative will be offering a special presentation for seniors on Wednesday, April 5th during DSB: Understanding your Financial Aid Award. We encourage all seniors to attend and to bring copies of  financial aid award letters in order to help understand the different types of aid awarded and compare packages. (This is a presentation geared to students – spending up to $65,000 a year on a college education is a big deal!)

We hope to see many of you in attendance and look forward to helping you understand more about financial aid awards.

Please let your guidance counselor know if you will attend so we can secure the appropriate space and have passes ready.

***Attorney General Maura Healey launched an education campaign to help students and families in Massachusetts better understand financial aid packages offered by colleges. In particular, there is a new hotline for students to call and online resources to help them better understand their financial award letters.

Students and families with questions or concerns about financial aid award letters should call the Student Loan Assistance Unit’s hotline at 1-888-830-6277 or visit the website:
